Yes it is very frustrating especially if you do not travel very often. As we moved to Qld over 5yrs ago and can only now afford to travel back to visit an elderly Mum and catchup with friends while there we have to renew our Passports, so this will probably become a regular occurrance as we will only come back home every few years. What was wrong with 10yr Passports, whose stupid idea was this, unless just a money making thing of the NZ Govt.

4.5 year passport renewal is just highly annoying, and unnecessary, especially considering many of our trading partners are actually moving to 10 year passport validity.

Just another sneaky tax grab by hungry NZ government . We are becoming really third world in as much as we put up with anything and they know we will not protest.

It's sad Walter that New Zealanders don't protest! We are slowly getting support from MPs and other prominent New Zealanders. We at nzten.com will not give up!

The supreme happiness in life is the conviction that we are loved.
